Mechanism of action of SCFAs on cancer

(A) SCFAs act as ligands to the GPCR present at the membrane layer and modulate the Wnt- β catenin pathway.
(B)SCFAs downregulate the expression of CDK genes and inhibit cell proliferation of cancer cells.
